Queensborough Bridge, 59th Street Bridge, Ed Koch Bridge from Roosevelt Island
The Queensboro Bridge, also known as the 59th Street Bridge and now the Ed Koch Bridge. The City of New York maintains no tolls on this bridge and it is accordingly quite popular. While the bridge does have a pillar on Roosevelt Island there's no way to drive from that bridge to the island. A trolley used to make a stop on the bridge and passengers used to be able to take the elevator down. In these pictures I am taking the photo looking at Queens and then I use the cameras zoom to zoom in to the top of the pillar. The bottom picture if the very tippy top, probably a red light at night to warn potentially low flying airplanes.
